i don't know if any other bloggers are like this...it seems like when i have the time to sit down and write a blog post, i have absolutely nothing to say. but when i have tons to blog about, i don't have a second to sit down at the computer--go figure!
anyway, there's been so much going on, i'm not even sure where to start. i'll give you the "short version":

tiles waiting to be released
the shop is really coming together, and starting to draw in some customers--yay! i've got electricity, so i have lights in the showroom, and i've been able to start firing some work to get the shop well stocked. a friend of mine from college came out last week, and shot some incredible images of the studio & showroom--i can't wait to share them with you, he's super-talented!

my tile-pressing setup
i've been working on a line of dinnerware that i'm really excited about, some new spirit house sculptures, new tiles, and i'm working on some new jewelry pieces. my mind is moving at lightning speed in so many different directions right now, but it feels good to be excited about working. i'm getting geared up for the annual larkspur party show, which is the first weekend in june in raleigh. it's always a fun show for me--lots of great friends and a very dedicated group of customers...i'm really looking forward to it. if you want more information, check out the website:

square bowl and plate with slip trailed decoration
on the home front, we have 3 new baby chickens that keep us entertained daily--they're adorable and hilarious to watch. judson pulls up a stool next to their box, and just watches and talks to them...too cute! judson's ready to be out for the summer, and i'm excited to have him home more, though i hate to see his kindergarden year come to an end. it's been so much fun to watch him and his friends figure out what this "school thing" is all about--6 is such a fun age!
wow, i said i was going to give you the short version, sorry to go on and on...enjoy this beautiful day!
