this week in the studio...

new tree tile

There's been so much going on around the studio this summer...the heat forced me inside this afternoon, so I thought I'd do a quick post.

The summer is flying by, and I'm already looking ahead toward fall shows and my kiln opening...mark your calendars for Snowhill Pottery & Tileworks' first kiln opening, the weekend of October 20 and 21st. More info coming soon...

new tile designs

Creating new designs is something I always seem to put toward the bottom of my list, but I'm really trying to spend some time on it this summer. i've been concentrating on a line of animal tiles and a line of floral tiles...i'm having so much fun with these new designs, and i still have so many ideas! I will post some pics as they work their way through the glaze firing--I'm also going to be listing some new tiles in my etsy shop.

sunflower in the garden

The garden's growing like crazy...so far we've eaten lots of herbs and veggies, and I've got my eye on the first tomatoes. Judson's been having lots of fun watching our little seeds turn into gigantic plants and food, and he loves helping out.
